This is great with goats cheese in particular, in a tart or quiche, but it is also great as a side with cold meats. Good for summer picnics!

This is great with goats cheese in particular, in a tart or quiche, but it is also great as a side with cold meats. Good for summer picnics!

Instructions

  1. Put all of your ingredients into a large, heavy bottomed pot and bring to the boil.
  2. Stir until the sugar has dissolved, then boil for up to an hour until the onions are soft and the 'sauce' has thickened. Cool, then transfer to sterile jars.
