Moroccan Lamb meatball tagine
Slightly spicy but with a lovely sweetness from the apricots, cinnamon and lemons. Really tasty tucker!
Vichyssoise (Creamy Leek and Potato soup)
This is a delicious creamy soup, you can serve this cold – that is the traditional way, but to be honest I much prefer it hot with some crusty bread. THis is really simple, and easy to do, but it easily good enough to serve to guests. Enjoy.
Venison Pie
A very traditional way to enjoy a sustainable meat. Quite a rich and indulgent pie so good for a special ocassion. Serve with some boiled new potatoes and seasonal vegetables. Mmm!!!
Homemade Mince meat and mince pies
These are delicious, so much better than shop bought! Happy Christmas. 🙂 You can even give this lovely mincemeat as gifts for Christmas, a great addition to any Chrsitmas hamper!
Pol sambol
This is a staple of Sri Lankan cooking which is delicious with rice, bread, salads.
Worth doing if you have the time and want something different and a bit tasty.
It is addictive.
Butternut squash Risotto
Or you can use any other squash. This is really tasty and a bit different. Simply add your cooked Squash at stage 4 of the basic Risotto recipe.Â
Mushroom Risotto
Gorgeous and simple and actually a lot easier than you might think! If you really want to cheat you can use normal rice cooked in stock, but obviously Risotto rice is much better! Simply add this mushroom mix in stage 4 of the basic risotto recipe.Â
