My mum’s Russian Fish Pie
Not too sure where my mum picked this one up from, but it really is good!! Really easy if you use storecupboard tinned tuna, and really tasty and as an extra bonus it is cheap too. 🙂 Try it with http://www.myingredients.com/recipes/homemade-potato-salad/
Christmas Eve Poached Salmon
This is a great dish to make before Christmas Day if you have friends or family round but don’t want to eat something heavy before the big day. Then again its great to have any time of year. Best served with potato salad http://www.myingredients.com/recipes/homemade-potato-salad/ and samphire.

This has always gone down well and is very easy to make. It’s nice served with salad and crusty bread…..
Stovies – The perfect Scottish Stew
This is comfort food at it’s best!!! We had this at our wedding reception, and we usually have a big pot of it on the stove on Hogmonay for folk to help themselves too, great party food! This is also great for leftovers, you can use cooked meat, leftover gravy, and leftover veg from a Sunday Roast – so nothing is wasted!
Ginger star biscuits
Get in the christmas spirit with these tasty treats! You can decorate these and then hang them on your Christmas tree, or they make sweet little gifts. As you can see, we made all sorts of shapes, and went with a Pudsey Bear theme. 🙂
Chicken Noodle Soup – Feel good soup
This is a feel good soup, especially for these winter months. A bowl or two of this will sort you right out. My little boy calls it ‘feel me better soup’. 🙂
Steamed seabass with ginger and spring onions
