Easy Roux, white sauce (Bechamel sauce), and cheese sauce (Mornay sauce)
This is an easy sauce to make for so many different things, macaroni cheese, lasagne, fish pie, cooking fish… all sorts! You can freeze the roux or keep it in the fridge for a few days if you make extra too. The sauce will keep in the fridge for a couple of days too.
Venison Pie
A very traditional way to enjoy a sustainable meat. Quite a rich and indulgent pie so good for a special ocassion. Serve with some boiled new potatoes and seasonal vegetables. Mmm!!!
Easy shortcrust dessert pastry
This is a quick and easy way to make a sweet shortcrust pastry for mince pies, jam tarts and other tasty treats. You can make this and keep it in the fridge for a couple of days, or freeze it until you need it.
My mum’s Russian Fish Pie

Ginger star biscuits
Get in the christmas spirit with these tasty treats! You can decorate these and then hang them on your Christmas tree, or they make sweet little gifts. As you can see, we made all sorts of shapes, and went with a Pudsey Bear theme. 🙂
Fish Pie
A total classic and just great anytime. A huge family favourite, and comfort food at it’s best for me. You can alter this recipe to your own tastes too, I like the dijon mustard in it but it might not be everyone’s cup of tea!

Blackberry (bramble) crumble
