Asparagus is a great veg but can easily be overcooked. This is a perfect way to enjoy it as it stays a bit al dente.

  1. Heat a frying pan, with a dash of oil in. Add the asparagus and add another splash of oil, then drizzle with balsamic and season with salt and pepper. Shake the asparagus spears so they are well coated. Let them cook for approx 5 minutes, shaking them around the pan regularly so they cook all over. This is a lovely side with chicken in particular. Yum!
