Microwave Syrup Sponge Pudding

Quick to make, very quick to cook syrup sponge pudding. A firm family favorite.

Instructions

  1. Mix together the sugar and butter, add the flour, eggs and baking powder and mix well.
  2. Put the syrup into a microwave proof pudding basin.
  3. Put the cake mixture on top on the syrup -DO NOT MIX.
  4. Cook in the microwave on full power for about 6 minutes (this might vary depending on your microwave).
  5. Serve warm with custard, cream or ice-cream.
