Green Papaya Salad

This is a great exotic salad that packs a punch as hard as you want. If you have been in Thailand then the taste and smell of this salad will take you right back to your time there. Rabbit food this aint.



  1. Peel and deseed your green papaya. Then use a cheese greater to finely shred the papaya in to long thin strips. place in a bowl and leave aside.
  2. In a mortar pound the garlic and the chillies. Add the peanuts and the green beans and lightly pound in the mortar.
  3. Empty the mortar contents into the bowl with the papaya. stir in the lime juice, soy sauce, fish sauce and sugar. finally mix in your quartered tomatoes and press everything lightly with your pestle
  4. Spoon your mix into the cabbage leaves and sprinkle with some peanuts and a few corriander leaves.
