An easy, tasty biscuit with plenty of fibre for kids

  1. Preheat oven to 160 degree fan. Mix oats, coconut, flour and sugar in bowl.
  2. Melt butter and stir in syrup. Put 2 tbsp of boiling water into bicarbonate of soda and then stir into butter/syrup mixture
  3. Add wet ingredients to dry and combine well
  4. Put dessert spoonfuls onto buttered baking tray (leave at least inch between as they will spread) and cook in batches until golden brown. Put on wire rack to cool
