Low fat easy peasy homemade biscuits!
A little bit soft in the middle, but crispy on the outside…. Just like a cookie should be! I use low fat spread to make them a bit healthier… Yoû could use whole meal flour, or rice flour to be extra healthy.

Easy homemade blinis
These are maybe a bit more like mini savoury pancakes, but can be made with store cupboard essentials and are delicious, cheap and easy to do. Great with seafood, like crayfish in garlic mayonnaise, smoked salmon with cream cheese and prawns in marie rose sauce for example, andf of course caviar if you are feeling flush! A lovely wee anytime snack.
These freeze well too, so you can cook a batch and keep some for another occasion.
Homemade Mince meat and mince pies
These are delicious, so much better than shop bought! Happy Christmas. You can even give this lovely mincemeat as gifts for Christmas, a great addition to any Chrsitmas hamper!
Easy shortcrust dessert pastry
This is a quick and easy way to make a sweet shortcrust pastry for mince pies, jam tarts and other tasty treats. You can make this and keep it in the fridge for a couple of days, or freeze it until you need it.
